THE SIROP DU PERE MICHEL WAS THE SUBECT OF A SUCCESSFUL  CLINICAL TRIAL IN 1994 WHICH DEMONSTRATED THAT THE PRODUCT ACHIEVED HIGHLY SIGNIFICANT RESULTS IN REINFORCING  IMMUNITY AGAINST EAR, NOSE AND THROAT INFECTIONS IN CHILDREN WITHIN THE AGE RANGE OF 1-5 YEARS WHO, DURING THE PREVIOUS YEAR, HAD EXPERIENCED AT LEAST 4 EPISODES OF ENT INFECTIONS.

Protagel

 

Today much emphasis is placed on Calcium for the formation of bones and joints, and collagen for joint and skin health, but that is but a small part in the whole bone/skin formation equation. In the 1970s the Bioligo trace elements were chosen to be included in French clinical trials that proved that specific trace elements were effective in healing arthritis. Bioligo went on to create two complexes containing those trace elements and further recognized that, in addition to the trace elements, amino acids – the building blocks of all connective tissue: skin, hair, nails, joints, muscles, bones – are required for the regeneration of bone, cartilage and joints. Collagen, when taken orally, has to be broken down by the digestive system to be absorbed and the following amino acids have to be present for the body to produce collage: Arginine, Glycine, Proline and Lysine. Bioligo’s Protagel contains 16 amino acids plus the macro minerals calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and silica - A powerful combination of minerals and amino acids in the correct balance and synergy.  All the amino acids contained in Protagel are derived from marine origin.

Essential fatty acids are important to the functioning of all cells particularly those of the nervous and cardiovascular systems. As with trace elements, if we have a healthy and balanced diet then we should obtain sufficient essential fatty acids from our food. However, when we are under stress, studying for exams, pregnant, follow a rigorous exercise programme, have a diet low in fish, or plant based oils, we become deficient. Much is written about Omega 3 being more important than omega 6 or 9 because of its anti-inflammatory properties and, therefore, there is a trend to administer high doses of Omega 3.  Like the trace elements and many other functional ingredients, the omegas must be administered in synergy.
